Learning Support Assistant - Immediate Start

A mainstream secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering the opportunity to support students in their learning and development, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional help
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning strategies
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
  • Encourage students' confidence, independence, and social development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure student progress
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or support capacity
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Experience with SEND is desired/required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
