About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Lewisham. This is a full-time position, providing essential support to students with SEND and additional learning needs. You will play a key role in ensuring that all students can access the curriculum and succeed in their education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEND in the classroom.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Offer one-to-one and small group support to students.
  • Encourage student confidence and independence in their learning.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND in a school environment.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, patient, and compassionate approach to supporting students.
