We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team at a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a commitment to supporting students, especially those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND to enhance their learning experience.
- Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all students.
- Support students in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Monitor and track students' progress and report any concerns to teaching staff.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and self-confidence.
- Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting is essential.
- Experience supporting students with SEND is a must.
- A valid DBS check on the update service is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential.
