Learning support assistant required in Newham for an immediate start!

We are looking for an LSA to work on a one-one and group basis in a school in Newham. The school are looking for someone to cover 3 full days a week from 8:30am to 3:30pm. You would also be covering a 12pm to 12:30pm lunch duty and then look after two different pupils throughout the day who require 1-1 support and personal care. This is a long-term position that has an immediate start date.

Your main responsibilities will be: • Providing a safe learning environment for the pupil(s) • Using creative methods to keep the pupil(s) engaged and to enhance their learning experience • Helping them learn through play, both indoor and outdoor activities The successful candidate will have: • Experience working within schools, preferably as a Learning Support Assistant • A calm demeanour and the ability to interact with pupils who have different abilities • Flexibility to work as directed by the class teacher
