Learning Support Assistant - Immediate Start

Location: Mainstream Secondary School, GreenwichStart Date: ImmediateContract: Full-time, Long-term (until the end of the academic year)Salary: Dependent on experience

A secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students in their learning and development, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who need additional assistance
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
  • Encourage students' confidence, independence, and social development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure student progress
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or support capacity
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Experience with SEND is desired/required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
