A welcoming and inclusive primary school in SE6 is seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 SEN support for a child in the Reception class. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated individual to make a real impact on a young learner's development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the Reception class.
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the child remains engaged and supported in their learning.
  • Implement strategies set out in the child's EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
  • Support social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and independence.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for the child.
  • Provide personal care if required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in an early years setting.
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and strategies to support children with additional needs.
