Are you a compassionate and committed Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The Role - Learning Support Assistant (ASD Support)

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with ASD.
  • Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development in a nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and EHCP targets.
  • Promote an inclusive, patient, and engaging classroom experience.
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar SEN role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school context.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with young learners and staff.
  • A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
