We are seeking an Outreach Learning Support Assistant to join our School of ESOL, Learning Support, and Foundation. This role is crucial in supporting learners with disabilities and learning difficulties during their work experience placements, ensuring they have a positive and productive experience.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support learners with disabilities and learning difficulties on their work experience placements.
  • Assist learners in planning their journey to the placement, maintaining punctuality, and settling into their roles.
  • Act as a liaison between the work placement and the Learning Support team, providing regular feedback, addressing concerns, and sharing relevant observations.
  • Provide class-based learning support when not attending to students on placements.
  • Travel to various employers' premises to support students, ensuring they meet and exceed the expectations of their roles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with young people.
  • Experience working with young people with learning difficulties or disabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong motivational skills to encourage and support students.
  • Personal transport is desirable due to the need to travel to various locations.
