SEN Teaching Assistant

 

Part time (Monday & Tuesday)

Wandsworth

ASAP start 

A lovely primary school in Wandsworth are looking for a dedicated learning support assistant to join them as soon as possible to support a pupil in Y1 with SEMH on a Monday & Tuesday.

The role

You will be working 1:1 with a Y1 child with significant SEMH and behavioural challenges. He works at all times outside the classroom and, at times, outside on the playground. He requires lots of brain breaks and his activities/learning chunked with rewards. 

At present, he is on a reduced timetable and attends a PRU two days per week. You will need to be calm, consistent and able to engage children with SEMH challenges in learning. 

 

The school are looking for a teaching assistant who is confident to work with children with significant behavioural and emotional challenges. You should have a calm and consistent approach and be able to commit to two days per week until Easter, with the potential to increase to 3 days thereafter.
