Personal Care Teaching Assistant - Secondary SchoolFull time or part time role available (8.30am until 4.30pm)Wandsworth, South West London Remedy Education are looking to recruit a teaching assistant for a large Secondary school in Wandsworth that are looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 8 with personal care, ASD and challenging behaviour. This job role entails:
- Working and caring for children with an educational health care plan
- Supporting and tailoring the curriculum and activities to support young pupils
- Working with external agencies, the wider team and the senior leadership team to support the children for the best interest of them
- Taking personal care of children and young adults
We are looking for:
- Up to date knowledge on safeguarding and how to keep children safe in Education
- Level 3 qualification in care, nursery or a teaching assistant qualification
- Worked in Education provisions for a minimum of 6 months in the UK
- Able to forward think and plan for activities where the child is not engaged
