SEMH Learning Support Assistant | Immediate Start | Full Time

I am currently seeking an experienced SEMH Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work at our newly build Secondary School in Wandsworth SW, London. This is a brand-new state of the art school and are looking to continue developments across the board. Your 1:1 KS3 student has an EHC Plan therefore you will be adhering to safe guidelines and practices.

Job Details:

Role: SEMH Learning Support Assistant

Start: October 1st 2024

Location: Clapham, Lambeth

Hours: Monday to Friday

Contract: Long Term

Rates: £105 - £120 per day

As a SEMH Learning Support Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one support: Working closely with students to provide individualised assistance, ensuring they have the necessary support to reach their full potential.
  • Assisting with classroom activities: Collaborating with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment, adapting materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Promoting independence: Encouraging and supporting students to develop independence and confidence in their academic and social skills.
  • Monitoring and reporting: Keeping track of student progress and behaviour and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND): Utilising your experience with SEND to provide tailored assistance and accommodations as needed.
