Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a school based in Camden. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with prior experience in supporting children with ASD, who is passionate about making a difference in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child with ASD, both in and outside the classroom.
- Assist in implementing tailored educational plans and strategies.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the child's learning needs are met.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Help with communication, sensory, and social development needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with ASD in an educational setting is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
