SEN GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT - CENTRAL LONDON

Apex Educ8 are currently seeking an SEN Teaching assistant for an alternative education centre based on the grounds of a large 11-18 Comprehensive school in Central London.

Experience working and supporting children with Autism/ASD is vital.

Your Job will be to primarily support SEN teachers and meet the additional needs of the pupils. Class sizes are extremely small, however good behaviour management skills will be crucial to be successful in this role. Many students require one to one support, where understanding special needs is crucial as often the curriculum is matched to the needs of the child.

The school require a teaching assistant who can support the school's positive approach to behaviour management and implementing strategies to follow IEP's.

Qualifications and experience required:.

  • You must hold A Degree.
  • Experience in a classroom environment, especially supporting children with ASD.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to plan and organise and use own initiative.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards.
  • Flexible and Team Player.
