Are you eager to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and help them achieve their goals? We are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary SEND school in Merton. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real impact on young learners' lives.

Your Role:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both individually and in small groups, to enhance their learning experience.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt activities to meet each child's needs.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels supported and valued.
  • Assist with daily classroom tasks and activities, ensuring all students can participate fully.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and carers, sharing regular progress updates and celebrating achievements.

About You:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students is a plus, but a positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm are essential.
  • Flexibility and creativity to adapt learning approaches for diverse needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to support both students and staff.
  • While not required, having a driver's license and access to a vehicle may be beneficial for the Merton location.
