SEN Learning Support Assistant

SEN Learning Support Assistants required Hackney and East London£95-110 per day

ASAP start** Previous experience working with in SEN is desirable **

Veritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.

We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and learning difficulties in schools across Hackney and other East London boroughs, with positions starting as soon as possible. These are full-time roles, term-time only, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with students with SEN or possess knowledge of learning difficulties through personal experience and/or academic studies.

• Autism
• Aspergers
• ADD
• ADHD
• Cerebral palsy
• SEMH
• BSL
• Dyslexia
• EAL
• MLD
• PMLD

We will also consider applications from strong candidates with a passion for SEN who may not have previous experience but are keen on working with pupils with SEN and possess the right attitude and knowledge. Graduates with relevant degrees are welcome to apply.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant you will be:

• Supporting SEN pupils often on a one to one basis
• Encouraging students to engage proactively with their learning and depending on their individual needs Will be helping them with their social and emotional skills
• Responsible in helping to provide a safe environmetn for the pupils
• Assisting the teacher with their general learning and development and working with the teacher to monitor their progress.

In order to be considered for this role you will need to have a DBS on the update service - if you do not have one you will need to apply for one which you can do so through Veritas.
