Are you an experienced Early Years practitioner with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A fantastic mainstream primary school in Islington is looking for a dedicated SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their team for the summer term, with the possibility of extending the role into September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting children within the EYFS setting, ensuring their development and well-being.

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups with SEN pupils, adapting learning activities to meet their needs.

  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.

  • Using strategies to support children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or other additional needs.

  • Collaborating with SENCOs, therapists, and parents to track progress and provide effective interventions.

Requirements:

? Previous experience in EYFS within a school or nursery setting.? Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs.? A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.? A Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification (desirable but not essential).? Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
