SEND Teaching Assistant|South West London| Primary School

We are seeking a fantastic SEND TA to join one of our most flourishing mainstream schools in south east London. This SEND Teaching Assistant will require you to work in one of schools new SEN Resource Hubs, supporting students from ages 4-11. The school has strong supporting team who strives to be the best in every aspect of education, facilitating a network of dedicated staff who want to make a difference to young pupils future.

Role: SEND Teaching Assistant

Start: ASAP

Contract: Full time

School Type: Primary

Location: SW17, South West London

Rate: £95-105

Ideal Candidate:

  • Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies.
  • SLD/ASD/PMLD & Complex needs experience preferably.
  • Supervising and supporting a classroom in a group setting.
  • Supporting with behaviour management.
  • Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals.
  • Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model.
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
  • Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours.
  • Safeguarding experience.
  • Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
