Learning Support Assistant in Lambeth, South London

Career Teachers are seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant/SEN Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding primary school in Lambeth, South London. This full-time role is set to commence ASAP. We are specifically looking for candidates with experience working with SEND students, including ASD, ADHD, behavioural issues, and more.

Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Assistant/SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) throughout the school day. Your day will be divided into two key parts:

  • Morning: You will work with nursery children, providing tailored support to help them engage with the curriculum and develop essential skills.
  • Afternoon: You will assist Year One students, focusing on their individual learning needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

Qualifications and Experience:

We are seeking candidates with prior experience in childcare or educational settings, such as babysitting, tutoring, coaching, summer camps, or previous teaching assistant roles. For this specific role, it is essential to have demonstrable experience working with SEND children. Candidates must have:

  • A valid and up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
