We are currently seeking a dedicated SEMH TA to join a secondary school in Slough, supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As an SEMH TA, you will play a key role in helping students overcome challenges, ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive academically and emotionally.

Responsibilities of the SEMH TA:

  • Work closely with the school’s SENCo and teachers to support students with SEMH needs.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to help students manage their behaviour and emotions.
  • Build positive relationships with students to promote a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assist in classroom management, ensuring students with SEMH needs are engaged in learning.

Requirements for the SEMH TA role:

  • Previous experience as an SEMH TA or working with children with SEMH challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging behaviour in a calm, patient manner.
  • A passion for helping students succeed and a proactive approach to supporting their well-being.
