Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Tower Hamlets, rated Good by OFSTED. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD in a classroom setting.
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and ensuring lessons are accessible for students with special educational needs.
  • Encouraging and supporting students with ASD in developing social, communication, and life skills.
  • Collaborating with the teaching staff, SENCO, and external specialists to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where students feel safe and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
