We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Hackney. This role is focused on supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to SEN pupils in EYFS.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Assist with the personal care needs of students, where necessary.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help with classroom setup and maintain a safe, stimulating environment for young learners.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within EYFS, ideally supporting SEN children.
- Strong understanding of SEN needs and strategies to support them.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with young children.
