Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a mainstream setting? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference to the lives of young people. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with secondary aged students aged 11-16. If you are proactive and empaethic, and want to support children and young people, then a SEN Teaching Assistant role may be the right role for you. Prior experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant would be great, but is isn't essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with SEN across the curriculum.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt lesson plans and resources to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support, ensuring that students are engaged and progressing.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About You:

  • Experience working with students with SEN, or previous experience in a secondary school setting.
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
  • A commitment to making learning accessible and enjoyable for all students.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN (desirable but not essential).
