Are you a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a focus on supporting students with Special Educational Needs? We have a fantastic opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful school in the heart of Waltham Forest.

The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with various special educational needs across EYFS and KS1 helping them to engage with the curriculum and overcome challenges. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to implement tailored support plans, ensuring that all children receive the attention and guidance they need. Personal care may be required for some students, so a compassionate and understanding approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
- Assisting with lesson delivery and adapting resources to meet the needs of individual learners
- Supporting students in developing independence and self-confidence
- Assisting with personal care, as needed, in a respectful and professional manner
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
- A calm, patient, and proactive attitude
- A Full Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Willingness to support personal care needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with both students and staff
