We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our client secondary schools in and around London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, both in the classroom and in small group or one-to-one settings. You will support their academic, emotional, and social development, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff

  • Help create a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment

  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational setting

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, or SEN-specific training)

  • Experience in a secondary school setting
