SEN Teacher Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher Assistant to work full time at a special needs school based in North London. This special needs school create a safe and vibrant learning community where each pupil can learn and grow with confidence.

Location: Haringey
Salary: 80 - 100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, temporary, with potential for permanent opportunities
Start Date: Flexible Start

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our fantastic special schools in Haringey. The role involves:

  • Supporting students with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Working closely with teachers and specialists to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or care setting.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient nature.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to the individual needs of students.

While previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is highly desirable, we also welcome applications from those with transferable skills from other sectors, such as healthcare, youth work, or social care.
