We are happy to announce that we are looking for a Part Time SEN Teaching Assistant who inspires to excel within the education industry. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students in a classroom at one of leading schools in London. The role will require someone who is enthusiastic about supporting pupils, especially those with some complex needs. Many of the students have ADHD, Autism and Dyslexia and work at all function levels. The behaviour side would require a male to support pupils on a 1:1 basis as they respond and interact better with males.

Role: Teaching Assistant - Part Time

Start: ASAP

Hours: 09:00 - 15:30

Rate: £90-100

Ideal Candidate:

  • Supervising and supporting pupils
  • Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies
  • Supporting with behaviour management
  • Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals
  • Assisting with the supervision of children out of lesson times, such as playtime and lunchtime duty
  • Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
  • Some basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Bachelor's degree (Education Studies, Psychology or Sports Degrees etc…. are welcome).
