We are currently looking for a SEN teaching assistant to join a really lovely school in Southwark to support a pupil with SEN on a 1 to 1 basis. 

The Roles

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting a pupil with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis. The pupil is joining the school in Yr5 and is non verbal. He is from a Spanish speaking family, so the ability to speak Spanish would be advantageous. .  

The school are interested in applications from both experienced SEN teaching assistants and also those who have experience working with children with special needs in other settings.  You will have good support from the school's SEND coordinator and class teachers.

This role is offered as an ongoing contract from September 2023 to July 2024.

The school is very popular within the local community. With a focus on catholic faith, the school wants to see all pupils progress regardless of their starting point. Pupils feel safe at school, enjoy their education and become confident and positive members of the community.
