About the Role:

Remedy are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This role involves working closely with students who have complex needs, helping them to access the curriculum and develop their independence in a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with PMLD, tailoring activities to meet their individual needs.- Assist with personal care duties, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support, ensuring the students' comfort and dignity.- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work with teachers to adapt lessons and resources.- Use sensory and therapeutic activities to engage students and support their development.- Monitor and record students' progress, communicating effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents.- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, following safeguarding procedures.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Experience working with children or young adults with PMLD or similar complex needs.- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach, with a strong commitment to supporting students with disabilities.- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and families.- Relevant qualifications in education, care, or SEN support are desirable but not essential.
