Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a confident and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Westminster. You will be working within the schools SEN unit which caters for a small number of students with speech and language difficulties. This is a full time, long-term role starting immediately.

Within this purposeful environment, leaders and staff work together and ensure that high expectations are realised, including for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They offer a broad and challenging curriculum for all. The school also has an additional resourced provision (ARP) for up to 12 students with speech and language difficulties.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting the teacher in delivering the curriculum
- Assisting with the preparation of activities and resources
- Supporting students to engage and succeed
- Supporting the teacher in the assessment and reporting of student progress
- Communicating with parents/carers and external agency workers

- Has experience working with young people
- Has a good understanding of SEN ideally speech and language support
- Is committed to helping all pupils achieve their full potential
- Is able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Has a positive and enthusiastic approach
- Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
