SEN Teaching Assistant - Waltham Forest

Are you looking for a new role working with secondary-aged students within a SEN setting in Leyton, Waltham Forest? If so, this may be the perfect role for you?

I am currently working alongside a secondary SEN school who are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a mixed KS3 class supporting students with a range of Learning Difficulties and/or Complex Needs.

The position is based in Leyton, Waltham Forest and will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. There will be an opportunity to go permanent at the end of the academic year. The position is between £90 to £100 daily rate depending on your experience.

About the role:

  • Secondary SEN school

  • Mixed KS3 class, Year 7 to Year 9

  • Full-time, long-term contract

  • £90 to £100 daily rate

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups with students with a range of learning difficulties and/or Complex Needs

  • Training and regular CPD’s provided by the school

The ideal candidate:

  • Will be willing to work in a special needs setting

  • Have experience working with children or young people ideally with Learning Difficulties

  • Can work from 08:00 AM to 3:30 PM

  • Be patient, reliable, and nurturing

  • Be able to trial and/or interview immediately
