Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location: Tower Hamlets | Pay: £95 - £105 per day | Contract: Temp to Perm | Hours: 8:30 - 3:30 | Start Date: September

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic and supportive school in Tower Hamlets. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting children with additional needs, and will be able to help them achieve their full potential.

As an SEN TA, you will be working closely with the SENCo and other support staff to ensure that children with additional needs receive the support they need to thrive in the classroom. The ideal SEN TA will be able to build positive relationships with children, parents and staff, and will be able to work collaboratively with others to achieve the best outcomes for the children they are supporting.

Responsibilities:

- Supporting children with additional needs in accessing the curriculum and making progress.

- Working closely with the SENCo and other support staff to ensure that children with additional needs receive the support they need to thrive in the classroom.

- Building positive relationships with children, parents and staff.

- Demonstrating patience, care and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

- Communicating effectively with others to achieve the best outcomes for the children.

Requirements:

- Proven track record of supporting children with additional needs as an SEN TA.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with others.

- Understanding of the challenges faced by children with additional needs.

- A commitment to improving outcomes for all children.
