Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling new role? Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a secondary school in Hackney to recruit a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to start immediately for the academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dedicated team, supporting students with diverse Special Educational Needs. A strong work ethic and commitment to student development are key to this rewarding role, where you will help make a meaningful difference in students' lives.
About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your day will run from 8:15 am to 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only. There may be occasional staff meetings after hours. You will work closely with the school's SEN coordinator and a team of skilled educators, providing support in both classroom settings and small group interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Assisting with the implementation of individualised education plans
- Working one-on-one and in small groups, helping students engage in lessons
- Encouraging and motivating students to reach their full potential
- Creating an inclusive learning environment through collaboration with the teaching team
Requirements:
- A graduate degree or equivalent qualification is preferred
- Some experience working with students or young people with SEN
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Genuine passion for supporting students with special needs
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
Key Information:
- Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am - 3:45 pm
- Competitive daily rate: £90-95 per day
- Term-time only position, immediate start
