We are seeking a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child in our Early Years provision. This temporary position offers the chance to significantly influence a young person's development while gaining valuable experience in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to a child with special educational needs, assisting in their educational and social development.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans and interventions in collaboration with the SENCO and classroom team.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes the child's independence and well-being.
  • Utilize effective communication and behavioral strategies to facilitate the child's engagement in activities.
  • Offer emotional and social support, helping the child build essential life skills.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the child's needs are met.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience or qualifications in supporting children with Autism or Special Educational Needs, particularly in Early Years.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to adapt to the unique learning styles and needs of the child.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training related to Autism and special education.
