Role Highlights for an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Salary: £80-£100 per day.
- Location: Primary schools across Waltham Forest, including areas such as Walthamstow, Leyton, and Chingford.
- Start Date: ASAP, providing an immediate opportunity to make a positive impact.
Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Offer one-on-one and group support to students with special educational needs, including Autism, Speech and Language difficulties, and Emotional and Behavioural challenges.
- Work alongside classroom teachers to create a supportive, inclusive environment where all students can access the curriculum.
- Assist with implementing personalised learning plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Help students with emotional regulation and social development, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
We're Looking For in an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs in a school setting.
- A calm, patient, and caring approach, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to work closely with staff, parents, and external specialists.
