Uniform Education are working with a lovely mainstream primary in Kingsbury NW9 who are looking for a LONG TERM, FULL TIME, EYFS Teaching Assistant with MAKATON OR British Sign Language experience to work in their DEAF UNIT
- Long term - ASAP Start - July 2025
- Full time, Monday – Friday, Hours – 8.30am-3.45pm
- Pay up to £110 per day through umbrella
- Working in the Deaf Unit of a Mainstream primary school based in Kingsbury NW9
- MUST HAVE BSL/MAKATON EXPERIENCE
About the role;
- It's a support role in nursery in the morning and reception in the afternoon supporting a group of deaf children (2 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon).
- Candidates must have experience / qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) OR Makaton
- Some children have complex needs as well so need someone patient and able to read non- verbal signs and signals from children which can be displayed through behaviour.
Two also need intimate care as they are still in nappies so you would need to be comfortable doing that.
