TimePlan Education are working with a specialist school in the heart of Camden, looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join their team full-time. This is an exciting opportunity to work with complex young people, supporting them in both their learning and personal development.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff, providing essential support to pupils in the classroom and other learning environments. The school are seeking individuals who are reliable, committed, and able to form positive relationships with our students, many of whom exhibit behaviours of concern.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend to pupils' personal needs and implement personal programmes, including social, health, physical, behavioural, hygiene, first aid, and welfare support.
  • Supervise and support pupils to ensure their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils by acting as a positive role model and responding to individual needs.
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • Encourage and support pupils to develop their independence, as appropriate.
  • Assist with swimming sessions, working closely with the swimming instructor.
  • Collaborate with the team to manage and support pupils' behaviours of concern.

About You:

  • Experience working with children or young people with Autism and additional needs is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in challenging situations.
  • Commitment to working as part of a team and contributing to a supportive school environment.
