Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming community primary school in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest, seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, providing 1-1 support to several children in the Reception class who have additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1-1 support to children with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive in the classroom.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans.
- Support the emotional and social development of the children, ensuring they feel safe and valued within the school environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs, particularly in an early years setting.
- A patient, nurturing approach with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and use your initiative when required.
Role Details:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Reception class)
- Location: Waltham Forest
- Salary: £90-95 per day
- Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm, full-time, term time only
- Start Date: November 2024
