A fantastic Primary School in Wandsworth, SW15 is on the hunt for a SEN Teaching Assistant This will be a full-time, and long-term role. You will specialise in supporting children with special educational needs on both a 1:1 & group basis across KS1 & KS2. The SENCO is eager to find a forward-thinking, and hardworking teaching assistant who is keen to go above and beyond for all.

Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 and group support for children with Special Educational Needs,
  • Work across KS1 and KS2 to support the class teacher with lesson delivery,
  • Assist with daily classroom activities, help to design a creative and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with school SENCO and class teacher to ensure the child's learning and developmental targets are being met,
  • Regularly monitor academic development,
  • Promote positive peer interactions.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a level 3 TA qualification or equivalent,
  • Have a great understanding of a wide range of SEN needs, including autism,
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in an educational environment,
  • Ability to adapt to various, complex situations and be resilient,
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate
