About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role: This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant where you will play a crucial role in both the classroom environment and working 1:1 with those with a range of Special Educational Needs, whilst developing your skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation.
  • Provide 1-1 support for children with SEN.
  • Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the needs of every child in the classroom, including those with SEN.
  • Support social and emotional development for all and be a positive role model.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Minimum education - Undergraduate Degree.
  • Ideally a background in Psychology with some clinical experience - not necessary.
  • Experience working within the education sector is desired.
  • Academically strong and enthusiastic about education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
  • An enhanced DBS on the online update service is desired but not necessary.
