SEN Teaching Assistant - KS1 Group Support
Location: Hackney
Pay Rate: 90-105 per day
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Long-term to Permanent
We are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hackney, providing group support to KS1 students with special educational needs. In this role, you'll help young learners build a strong foundation, offering both academic and social support in a nurturing primary school setting.
About the Role:
- Group Support: Work with a small group of KS1 children with SEN, adapting resources and activities to meet their developmental needs.
- Collaboration: Partner with teachers and SEN staff to plan and implement engaging interventions.
- Positive Learning Environment: Foster a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports each child's growth.
- Effective Strategies: Use SEN support techniques, including visual aids, sensory activities, and structured routines, to keep young learners engaged.
- Progress Monitoring: Track each child's development, providing feedback to the teaching team for ongoing support and growth.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young children with SEN, ideally in a group setting or within KS1.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a patient, caring approach.
- Adaptability to respond to each child's unique needs.
- Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
