Job Overview:

We are looking for experienced and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs in our vibrant schools in East London. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with SEN students and a commitment to providing high-quality support to enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) both in and outside of the classroom.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering SEN-friendly lessons and activities.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
  • Support students with personal care needs, as required.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for SEN students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies for support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting the needs of SEN students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (e.g., Level 3 TA qualification, SENCO training) are advantageous.
