Job Description

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Start: ASAP

Contract: Full Tine

Location: SE18, South East London

Rate: £90 - £103 Per day

Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate candidate who is willing to support pupils aged 2-25. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working in an education resource centre, many of the pupils are ASD, ADHD and PMLD. This SEN teaching Assistant will be carried out in a non-classroom-based environment, such as interactive Immersive and Sensory rooms.

SEN Teaching Assistant |ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
