Smart Teachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in KS1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a vibrant Primary School in Brent. This is a chance to join a school and make a positive impact in a nurturing educational environment.

About the role
  • Provide one-to-one support for a child in KS1 with ASD
  • Child struggles with communication and can display challenging behaviour
  • Assist with class activities and individualised learning plans

  • Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to track progress
  • Role starts ASAP and will run until the end of the academic year

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Have experience supporting children with ASD
  • Have an understanding of pre-verbal communication
  • Have an understanding of behaviour management skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Previous experience working with children who have SEN
