SEN Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs School in West Dulwich, Southwest London.As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with primary, secondary, and post-16 pupils aged 4 to 19. You will be supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex needs, and communication difficulties. This role involves providing in-class support, assisting with tailored educational plans to meet the diverse needs and abilities of each pupil, and carrying out personal care duties as required to ensure the well-being and dignity of the students.Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: West DulwichFull-Time: 5 days per weekHours: 8:45 AM - 4:15 PMDaily Rate: GBP100Start Date: ASAPEnd Date: OngoingContract Type: Temporary with the opportunity to go permanentSCHOOL TYPE:A special educational needs (SEN) school that caters to students with a range of learning difficulties, including autism and communication needs. It provides a supportive and structured environment to help students develop essential life skills alongside academic learning.SEN NEEDS: Autism and complex learning and communication needs.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS:· At least one years experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs (SEN).· Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last yearTO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST· Hold the Right to Work in the UK· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application· Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
