SEN Teaching Assistant | Early Years & KS1 | Primary SEN Provision | Lambeth, London, SW9 | Immediate Start | 95 - 110 per day, term time only

Long Term Futures is looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Lambeth, London. The role will be based in the school's SEN provision, supporting children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 (KS1) with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, and developmental delays.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an SEN school or provision and hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children in Early Years & KS1 with SEN needs
  • Work closely with the SENCo and class teachers to deliver tailored support plans
  • Implement strategies to support communication, social interaction, and sensory needs
  • Assist with play-based and structured learning activities that engage and develop key skills
  • Support behaviour management using positive reinforcement techniques
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Candidate criteria:

  • Experience working in an SEN school or provision (primary level preferred)
  • Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent)
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young children
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with staff, students, and parents
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being
