SEN Teaching Assistant | ASAP

Teach Plus are currently working with a 2-form entry, 'Outstanding' primary school located in Lambeth.

The school has strong ties to the community, which is highly inclusive and supportive to students and staff. The student's behaviour is outstanding, and pupils are happy to come to school. The school is very considerate of the workload and well-being of staff. There are lots of opportunities for further training and development for all staff members.

The role is for a full time SEN teaching assistant is to start ASAP.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

  • Provide support to children with special educational needs, within a mainstream primary classroom setting
  • Assist teachers and other staff in implementing Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students

The ideal candidate for the SEN Teaching Assistant role will have:

  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs
  • Recent classroom supporting experience within a primary school setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
