SEN Teaching Asistant Lambeth

Engage Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a growing team in Lambeth that offers a great place to work with an exciting curriculum and a team that provides support and guidance. This SEN school is for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders from the ages of 4 to 19. This particular school is recognised as an outstanding hub for ASD support .

We are looking for an SEN teaching assistant with experience working with students with ASD. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills be creative, flexible and reliable. High levels of motivation, imagination and enthusiasm are a must and will allow you to build productive working relationships with the pupils. Working alongside the Class teacher you will need to provide support, addressing the needs of the pupils who have particular barriers to learning, as well as attending to the pupilsā€™ personal needs.

Job Description - SEN Teaching Assistant - Lambeth

  • Work with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment for a children with ASD

  • Be responsible for keeping and updating records as agreed with the teacher

  • Monitor and evaluate pupilsā€™ responses and progress against action plans through observation

  • Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies for learners with ASD

  • Be aware of and support diversity and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop
