As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs, helping them engage with learning and develop confidence in a range of school environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other learning difficulties in mainstream and SEN settings.
  • Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups, helping them stay engaged in lessons.
  • Implement individual learning plans tailored to pupils' specific needs.
  • Use strategies such as visual aids, sensory activities, and structured routines to support learning.
  • Foster a calm and positive learning environment, encouraging social interaction and confidence-building.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role.
  • A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A passion for inclusive education and helping children reach their full potential.
  • Experience with PECS, Makaton, or sensory-based learning is beneficial but not essential.
