Are you an SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Reeson Education is offering a fantastic opportunity to work 1:1 with a pupil with autism (ASD) in a welcoming primary school in Waltham Forest.

The Role:
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support).
  • Salary: £80-£100 per day, based on experience.
  • Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
  • Start Date: Immediate.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a Key Stage 1 pupil with ASD, providing structured support to help them engage with learning and develop key skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 classroom support, ensuring personalised learning experiences.
  • Use visual aids, sensory strategies, and structured routines to engage the pupil.
  • Support the child's social and emotional development, encouraging confidence and independence.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to implement tailored learning plans.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role.
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with SEN.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Experience with PECS, Makaton, or sensory strategies is beneficial but not essential.
