Job Overview:

• Position:SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location:Greenwich, South-East London
• Start Date: 15th March 2025
• Contract: Until the end of the academic year, with potential extension until December 2025
• Salary: £85 - £115 per day, dependent on experience

Role Summary:

We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of learning, social, emotional, and communication needs. The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
• Provide tailored support to help students access the curriculum and develop key skills.
• Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
• Offer emotional and behavioural support to create a positive and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons for children with SEN.
• Provide one-to-one and small group interventions to support learning and development.
• Assist in implementing EHCPs and SEN strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Help create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide the best support.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers.
• Ensure safeguarding policies are followed and contribute to the wider school community in Greenwich.
